Nvidia weighs buying Reflection AI
The chipmaker is discussing a larger stake in, or a takeover of, the open-weight model startup it already backs.

The Financial Times reports that Nvidia is in talks either to increase its investment in Reflection AI or to acquire it outright. Nvidia is already a backer of the startup, which builds frontier models and releases their weights openly.
No deal has been announced. If one goes ahead, the leading supplier of AI chips would own one of the main labs publishing open-weight models, which would change who controls that part of the ecosystem.
