According to Trading Economics, the 10-year Treasury yield held around 5.23% on Friday, a pullback from 24-year highs helped by lower oil prices. Markets priced about an 82% chance that the Federal Reserve holds rates at its October meeting and about an 81% chance of a rise in December.

Fed governor Christopher Waller said further increases would probably be needed to bring inflation back to 2%, while stressing flexibility over the pace. Bond markets were closed on Monday.
